HIGHLIGHTS of the Parade:
PM Modi leaves, walks on Rajpath and waves to the crowd before leaving
- The 10 visiting ASEAN heads of state leave Rajpath one by one. PM Modi and Vice President are seeing them off.
- The President's Bodyguard escort President Ram Nath Kovind back to the Rashtrapati Bhavan
- The Republic Day Parade concludes. The President will now leave for the Rashtrapati Bhavan escorted by his bodyguards.
- A Su-30 MKI makes a Vertical Charlie, an aerobatic maneuver in which it flies vertically and rolls before returning to normal attitude
- Three SU-30 MKIs now fly past the Rajpath and execute the breathtaking Trishul manoeuvre.
And here come five Jaguar deep penetration strike aircraft in ‘Arrowhead’ formation
- The ‘Globe formation’ is followed by a formation of the LCA aircraft ‘Tejas’.
- Here comes the ‘Globe’ formation, comprising one C-17 Globemaster and two Su-30 MKIs
- Three C-130J and then three aircraft in Netra formation - “Eye in the Sky” - Airborne Early Warning and Control System aircraft fly past
- All eyes on the sky - ALH MK-IV WSI helicopters in Rudra formation fly past the Rajpath
