TVS Zeppelin 220 Cruiser Concept Showcased at Auto Expo 2018; Price in India, Images, Specs & Features

TVS Motor Company has showcased an all-new concept at the Auto Expo 2018 – the TVS Zeppelin 220. The Zeppelin 220 is a cruiser motorcycle concept from the Hosur based bike manufacturer. According to the company, the TVS Zeppelin 220 is targeted at new-age long distance riders that offer raw, muscular look. If at all TVS plans to manufacture and launch the Zeppelin 220, the bike will directly compete against the Bajaj Avenger Street 220in India. 

The TVS Zeppelin 220 Cruiser Motorcycle is powered by a 220cc single-cylinder motor that gets fuel-injection and liquid cooling, while the motor is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The internal combustion petrol engine is paired to an integrated starter generator (ISG), which provides a boost to the bike helping in a quick start. The concept also comes equipped with a 1,200 Watt regenerative assist motor along with a 48V Li-ion battery. The motor provides the engine 20 percent more torque with the push of a button. 

The TVS Zeppelin 220 gets a relaxed yet aggressive riding stance. The muscular tank, big piston forks, flat-track style handlebar, low-slung tail section, chunky tyres and spoke wheels adds to the looks of the bike. The bike comes equipped with 41 mm USD front forks and a mono-shock at the rear, while braking is aided by disc brakes at both the ends along with dual-channel ABS. That said, power is sent to the rear wheels via a belt-drive. 

While specifications and exact features are not known, notable features include full-LED headlamps, digital speedometer, an HD-action camera mounted on the headlamp assembly, LED tail lamps, a bio-electric key and online connectivity. The bike is finished in a shade of rustic brown along with black and silver highlights on various parts.
